With this pattern and instruction booklet digital download, you can create  Sophia rabbit,  a sweet 20cm, child safe, toy rabbit.

Sew Sophia Rabbit with the Amazing Craft’s comprehensive and clear instruction booklet and pattern.  Sophia, who stands only 20cm tall, is just waiting to be someone’s best friend!  Sophia is made with safety eyes and safety joints making her suitable for a child to play with and she can sewn by machine or by hand.  The 14 page instruction booklet has clear instructions to guide you through the entire process and is supported with our online videos should you prefer a more visual way to learn.

You will have two files to download comprising of the instruction booklet and a pattern.  Both files need to be printed on A4 paper and the patterns will print at the correct size.  If you wish to print out the instruction booklet, it will print on 8 pages of A4 paper

Sophia Rabbit looks lovely made from mohair and wool felt for the paw pads and ear inserts but you can also make her from a fabric of your choice (non-stretchy fabrics work best with this pattern).

Materials you will need:-

.    30cm deep x 38cm wide piece of mohair (a fat quarter will be plenty) or a woven fabric with little stretch (e.g. cotton)

.    10cm x 15cm Pink 30% Wool Felt (ear inserts & paw pads)

.    6cm x 6cm Pink Faux Fur (fluffy tail)

.    Cotton or polyester sewing thread to match your fabric

.    One pair of 10mm black plastic safety eyes

.    Five 15mm plastic safety joints (one set)

.    40cm extra strong thread (used for inserting the head joint)

.    40cm DMC Black Cotton Perle Size 8 (for the nose & mouth)

.    50g polyfibre stuffing

.    20g plastic pellets

Equipment you will need:-

.    A sewing needle

.    Fabric scissors with a fine tip

.    Paper scissors

.    Tailor’s chalk, fabric pen or a pencil

.    A stuffing tool, haemostats or a chopstick!

Stitches used:-

.    Back stitch

.    Ladder stitch

.    Running stitch

Skills needed:- 

.    To complete this project, the maker will need to be able to hand sew or be able to use a sewing machine.
