Billy-Bob Barnsley Pattern from Country Folk by Brenda Walker
The Billy-Bob Barnsley pattern from the Country Folk range makes an extremely cute sheep / lamb. Created by the talented Brenda Walker, Billy-Bob stands 26cm (10 1/2″) tall. The full size pattern to make this adorable sheep / lamb also comes complete with a pattern to make a pair of dungarees too. Brenda also completes her patterns with easy to follow instructions and says “I design and create decorations for the home inspired by the Northamptonshire countryside”!
Billy-Bob Barnsley can be sewn by hand or by machine. To make Billy-Bob you will need:-
Materials you will need:
. 152cm (60″) deep x 25cm (10″) wide piece of sheepskin style acrylic fleece
. 16cm (6″) x 16cm (6″) wool felt for inner ears and face
. Cotton or polyester sewing thread to match your fabric
. 70cm (27″) x 25cm (10″) denim for his dungarees
. 2 x 12mm (1/2″) cream buttons to attach the arms (or 12mm cotter pin joints)
. 2 x 12mm (1/2″) buttons for the dungarees
. 1 pair 9mm black safety eyes
. scrap of black felt (nose)
. 1m Black embroidery silk (or Cotton Perle Size 8) for the mouth and eyebrows
. polyfibre stuffing (250g will be plenty)
. Fusible webbing
. Fabric scraps for patches
Equipment you will need:
. A sewing needle
. A doll needle
. Fabric scissors
. Paper scissors
. Tailor’s chalk, fabric pen or a pencil
. An iron (for the fusible webbing)
