Viscose Fabric Steiff Schulte – 6mm Medium Dense – Apricot Cream

Viscose Fabric Steiff Schulte – 6mm Medium Dense – Apricot Cream is great for teddy bear making.

This fabric is super soft to the touch and is light and easy to work with.  This fabric has a medium dense, straight pile that is approximately 6mm long.  The fabric has a woven backing which helps prevents the fabric from stretching when you stuff it and makes it less likely to fray easily.

This viscose fabric is machine washable (at 30 degrees) and can also go in the tumble dryer too.

This is yet another  high quality fabric produced by Helmbold and it makes a wonderful alternative to mohair and alpaca.

The fabric’s weight is approximately 400g per meter.

This shade, Apricot Cream, has a soft cream coloured pile with a very, very pale apricot coloured backing.

A good cotton sewing thread match to this fabric is Gutermann 519  and a good Extra Strong thread match is Gutermann Top Stitch 111.

This viscose fabric is available as a sample size (6cm x 7cm) or in 1/16m, 1/8m and 1/4m pieces (the width of the roll is approximately 140cm including the selvedges and, therefore, 1/16th is approx 25cm deep x 35cm wide, 1/8th is approx 50cm deep x 35cm wide and a 1/4m will be approximately 50cm deep x 70cm wide).
