Hemline Iron-On Interfacing
Hemline Iron-On Interfacing is ideal for cuffs, collars, facing etc and also very hand in toy making. This pack is medium weight iron-on interfacing and is supplied in a 1m x 1m piece.
If you wish to preserve the memory of a favourite dress, baby grow etc and are making a memory bear or toy, you can often be faced with stretchy and tricky materials to use. If the material has a lot of stretch, it can often help to back the material with the iron-on interfacing before you start to cut out the pattern pieces.
Also, if you are creating tiny paw pads, ears etc from a delicate material or material that is prone to fraying, simply fuse the interfacing to the material before cutting out your little pattern piece and it will make it much easier to use without fraying. It works very well on faux suede and cotton paw pads, ear inserts etc.
Pack Instructions:-
Cut interfacing to size (if using in a seam, cut it slightly smaller to reduce bulk in the seam).
Centre the wrong side of the fabric section with the glue side of the interfacing faced down. Cover with a press cloth (or cotton tea towel).
Using the iron on a low heat setting, iron the press cloth and hold for 6 -10 seconds. Raise iron and lower again on the next section. Do not push the iron forward. Allow to cool before checking to see that it has fused to your fabric.
It is recommended to carry out an iron and fuse text on a scrap piece of fabric before you start.
