Plastic Safety Eye and Safety Joint Insertion Tool
This flat safety eye insertion tool helps fix the washers onto the back of safety eyes and safety joints.
Because the washers have to fit very tightly to ensure that children cannot pull them off, they require a lot of pressure to attach them. While some people can attach the washers onto the back of safety eyes with their hands, some prefer to use this handy tool to give extra leverage. This tool works equally well for inserting plastic safety joints in soft toys too.
This tool has 3 different sized holes so that it can be used with eyes and joints in a variety of sizes. The smallest hole on the tool is 6mm in diameter and the largest hole is 12mm in diameter. This means that the smallest eye size it will work with is a 6mm eye and the largest is an eye or safety joint that has a shank with less than 12mm in diameter (this will fit most eyes up to 30mm and safety joints up to 65mm).
If you are unsure how to use the Safety Eye Insertion Tool, there is a section in our ‘How to Insert Safety Eyes’ video that might help in our ‘How to do it’ section.
